From radios to Uber’s driverless cars, Pittsburgh has been on the cutting edge of innovation and a hub for technology for centuries. In conjunction with VisitPittsburgh and the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA), a worldwide network of business events strategists, The Event Group was tasked with the pre-planning and on-site execution of the PCMA Opening Reception at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. Attended by 3,700 event professionals, the reception took guests on a journey through the innovation and technological advances representative of Pittsburgh’s past and present. The Event Group also provided key project management support for additional events including the Networking Reception.
LivePerson
Over the past seven years, The Event Group has executed strategic/informational events showcasing customer experience software developed by tech innovator, LivePerson Inc. throughout the domestic United States. Locations have included but are not limited to: New York City, San Francisco, Dallas, San Diego, Atlanta, and Charleston, SC. The basis of these multi-day events attended by global clientele and partners, centers on a communicative focused meeting utilizing extensive attendee engagement strategies and branding tactics. The overall event extends into high level transportation, executive management, hotel accommodations, breakout meetings, opening and closing off-site events, and locally curated guest gifts and room drops.
Alcoa and Arconic
For 4+ years, The Event Group worked with Alcoa and Arconic, one of the world’s largest producers of aluminum, to plan and produce their name change/sign unveiling at their headquarters in Pittsburgh, as well as their Leadership Conferences. The multi-day conferences were held at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center and hosted attendees from across the globe. The Event Group was responsible for managing all pre-planning and on-site aspects of the Leadership Conferences including but not limited to, ground transportation with individual airport transfers, décor, branding, stage design and build, audio/visual, general sessions, breakout sessions and the planning of the Awards Ceremony and off-site evening networking events.
